As part of the Hungarian cultural renewal, the popular story “Egri Csillagok” has been re-written in Hungarian rovas alphabet, known as “Rovásirás”. As part of the cultural awakening, workshops are popping up everywhere in the country and people are rushing to learn the ancient Hungarian alphabet that was the writing system of our ancestors during the period of “Honfoglalás”. The publication of the story might turn out to be an educational milestone in the renewal of the nation that has already been happening on many levels.
