The Rovásírás version of the New Testament will be published for Pentecost

The Rovás Foundation will publish the ?Rovásírás? (Szekely-Hungarian Rovas)  of the New Testament for the time of Pentacost said László Sipos the president of the Rovás Foundation. To commemorate to the huge undertaking, the holy book will be published as a special edition.

According to the president, two other important and far-reaching objectives can also be realized in the near future – get a separate office and setting up a science center.

On June 13, at the Unicode Conference in Helsinki, the Foundation will officially submit the ?Székely-Magyar? Rovas script that complies with international and computer character set standards to representatives of the conference. If the initiative receives the support of the decision-making body, ?Rovásírás? could be offered on the world’s digital communication systems as a possible language choice, in the foreseeable future.

Sipos also spoke about the ongoing ?Rovásírás? city sign erection project in the Carpathian Basin. So far, 60 ?Rovásírás? city signs have been erected in 11 counties in Hungary; beyond the border, the first such sign went up in Beregszász, Ukraine. There are plans in the pipeline to erect ?Rovásírás? city signs in Erdély, Felvidék and Croatia, as well.

In the ?Rovásírás? city sign erection campaign, the largest ever event will be scheduled for May 7, when one day 5 villages – Szandaszőlős-Szolnok, Rákócziújfalu, Martfű, Kisköre and Nyíradony – erect ?Rovásírás? city signs. László Sipos indicated that according to his calculations, at the end of May, 100 such signs will be erected in the Carpathian Basin.
